Students regularly contact us saying they have completed the course but don't have a certificate of completion. Here we will walk through a couple of the most common reasons why you may not have a certificate yet for your course.
Course Completion Requirements
In summary, all the material in the course must be completed for you to get a certificate. If you don't have a certificate yet, it means that our system sees one or more sections that are not completed. If you're not familiar with the course completion requirements, you can check out our post on course completion.
Gradebook
In your account you have a Gradebook which summarizes all the quizzes and tests in the course you have left to complete. To find the gradebook, click on your profile in the upper right corner of the page, then click tools, then gradebook.
In the gradebook, you will be able to select the course you're currently taking. This will show you your scores in the course first, but you can switch it to see only incomplete units.
Click on the sections you have showing as incomplete and complete. Sometimes this will just mean opening the section (like our handouts) and others might be passing a quiz or watching a video through to the end.
After attempting to complete each of the sections, if you're still having trouble getting your certificate, contact us to investigate for you.
