Why am I being charged after I bought the course?

The answer to that question depends on your situation. It may be that you're not actually being charge or your course may have expired, and you need an extension.

Subscription after enrollment

After enrolling in the course, you will have a "Subscription" to your course. This is our way of allowing you to extend access to your course on a month-to-month basis. It may appear that you'll be changed monthly, but you will not.

First off, we don't charge you automatically. You will have to actively login to your account and make a payment. Secondly, we don't save your card details so if you'd like to extend you will have to input the card again (that's just another way we make sure not to charge you inadvertently).

Lastly, you will notice that the "Next Payment" date is at the end of your enrollment period. Normally that is 6 months from the day you bought the course.

If you do nothing, you will have access to the course through the enrollment period then it will expire without charging you. You will get a reminder and the option to extend when the expiration comes, but again, you won't be charged unless you login and make the payment.

Canceling the Subscription

If you'd rather not even have the option to extend your course, you can also login and "Cancel" the Subscription under the Subscription tab in your account. Canceling the Subscription to your course will not cancel your enrollment, it will just cancel the option to extend. You can safely cancel the subscription and continue with your course.

Extensions

It may also be that you've come to the end of the enrollment period, and you need to purchase an extension.

All our courses have expirations. To maintain access to the course material you will need to purchase an extension. Extensions are on a monthly basis, so you won't have to pay full price to continue your access.

To see more information on extensions read our Expired Course post.
