I can't access my course

Here we will cover some of the common situations around course access.

If you have a course that expired, you should checkout our post on Expired Courses.

This will guide you through a couple of steps to resolve the most common problems after purchasing a course.

Someone else purchased the course for you or you purchased the course for someone else.

Most often, someone purchases a course and fills in the "Student Information" fields during checkout and now the student cannot access the course. This is normally described by student clicking My Courses and being directed to the introduction video

In these situations, you are probably logged into the purchasing account (the billing email) and not the student account. Check the name from the dashboard of your account to see if it matches the student's name.

Checking the name on the My Account page

If the name is correct, it may still be that you're not logged into the right account. Next, we'll check the email in the account details.

Account Details link in menu

Check that the email in the account details matches the student account email from the order.

Confirm account email

If you determine that you are not logged into the student account, you will have to logout and log back into using the email listed in the Student Information field on the order.

Log out

The My Courses link takes you to the student center, but your new course isn't showing up.

It's likely that you provided another email address in the student information field. It's a student account mismatch. You're logging into one account and the course was assigned to another. This normally happens when using two personal email addresses or a personal and a work email address.

To check this, you will look at the student information on your order, then compare that to the email address in your account details. If they match, or you left it blank, but you still don't have access to your course, contact us to investigate the issue. If they don't match, log out of the current account and log back in using the email address in the student information from the order.

If you're having trouble logging, check out our post on Login Help.
